Mentorship sessions:

Michaela offers 90-minute online mentorship sessions for photographers and creatives with a passion for photography and film. Each session is customised for the participant depending on their goals and includes a pre-session portfolio review. This is open to anyone of any level of experience, any kind of equipment anywhere in the world.

Topics covered are:
— Website/portfolio reviews
— Environmental photography
— Underwater photography
— Wildlife and nature documentary
—Working on an assignment
— Equipment choices and suggested training for environmental and underwater capture
— Advice on publishing, collaborations, social media engagement.
— Upskilling - Exploring video capture, creative writing, on-camera talent
— Navigating the creative industry with a chronic illness or disability.

Michaela Skovranova is an Australia-based artist working in the field of photography and film.


Michaela was invited to be part of the Facebook Journalism Project and has participated in panel discussions at Facebook, Instagram, Stanford University, Eddie Adams Workshop and National Geographic. 
She was a reviewer at the 2017 Eddie Adams Workshop and juried the 2017 National Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year Contest


In 2018 Michaela was part of a  year-long mentorship program with Women Photograph and works as a National Geographic Expert.

Through her work as a National Geographic Expert and an OM System Ambassador Michaela provides mentorship sessions all across the globe. 

Her projects involve working as a freelance photographer, filmmaker, speaker and talent.

Michaela is providing a complimentary mentorship session each month for a chosen participant. Anyone who is either currently experiencing financial hardship, has a chronic illness and/or disability is encouraged to apply.
